Humble Beginnings...
Whilst hiring out water sports equipment at Kingscliff, Australia, founder Tim Jack Adams started to research why is it when people connect to self and others through nature do they seem healthier and happier? This one question has led to what is now known as GreenX7.
Tim is founder and company director of Watersports Guru, and became the first operator to be GreenX7 endorsed (obviously).

GreenX7 R&D
Green Brain Project (now known as the X7 R&D project) was formed by reaching out to Dr. Jules Pretty and his team at the University of Sussex who had coined the phrase ‘Green Exercise’ highlighting active engagement in nature.
A significant body of research had already been undertaken and the results showed that when people actively engage in nature they became healthier and happier. This ignited Tim’s passion and curiosity to connect with leading health professionals globally to seek to understand the evidence base about why time in nature improves health and wellbeing.

Creation of X7 Tools
The team decided to take a holistic approach to health and wellness (combining elements of Eastern and Western philosophies) instead of acting on the individual components of health and wellbeing i.e. exercise, mindfulness. With this mindset and the aim of creating a model for everyday wellness the X7 Tools were formed.
A special shout must go out here to Bri Croke who became the heart behind GreenX7 and a founding facilitator, who is still our biggest inspiration to lead a life lived from the heart.

Play For Your Life Cards
Play For Your Life Cards are created to get blokes to open up after Tim’s mate Mal ends his life. The cards are now used for all demographics across many cultures.
Tim grew up in a household of 6 boys, many which have struggled as did Tim to share and show emotion. Unfortunately, male suicide is the leading cause of death for men between 15-44 years. Tim grew up on the Tweed and Gold Coast, and unfortunately has seen many suicides within his community.
One of Tim’s purposes in life is to inspire individuals and teams to create value, meaning and belonging in their lives and those around them.

Measure and improve Australia’s Wellbeing
GreenX7 has some BIG goals and one of those is to ‘measure and improve the wellbeing of Australia’. Utilising our App technology we have created a way to measure and share wellbeing within 60 seconds. We are hoping this is going to change the landscape of mental wellbeing in Australia. The phrase ‘Are you OK’? typically gives the response of ‘I’m fine’. Now with our App and using the language of ‘How’s your battery’ we can start to bring ‘awareness to wellness’ and improve it.
